![]() ![]() Avalanche Software is the former Disney studio that made the Disney Infinity series – pretty good credentials for a studio tasked with developing an open-world Harry Potter game and its sequels. Given that background, the news that Avalanche was making a Harry Potter game was greeted in much the same way a drowning man greets a lifeboat. ![]() But for some in this community, the Wizarding World doesn’t feel so safe anymore." "Immersive, open-world games have huge appeal to any gamer, but they’re particularly resonant for LGBT+ gamers, for whom they can be safe spaces to escape to. If players are required to download the game or use a physical cartridge, the size of the game could quickly fill up any space they have on their systems. The massive size of Hogwarts Legacy has led some to believe that it may not be able to run on the Switch without being a cloud version, but this has not yet been either verified or disputed by Nintendo or Avalanche Software. The Nintendo Switch has released several games as Cloud versions where players access the game online rather than having a physical cartridge or download on their system. ![]()
